Birthday #3

As I’m sure ALL of you know, I just had a birthday.  Actually it was 2 weeks ago, but who’s counting.  Right, Daddy?  We invited some other kids over for a party, and made them sing Happy Birthday to me.

I had lots of kids come over. Capriana was the youngest, and then one who just turned one all the way up to 7. You can see my play tent & tunnel we put up in the background.

“Our” ducks made an appearance! We had a couple of ducks who showed up every day for a couple of weeks. Charlie tried to catch them. Daddy said something about stuffing and a wok?

Here is the Thomas cake Mommy made and decorated for me. Doesn’t it look good?

Did we mention it’s a Guiness cake? Yep, Guiness beer is used to make the cake. Mommy said since it’s baked it’s ok, because is cooks the alcohol out of it. I just know it’s good.

I got Mommy’s favorite game growing up, Chutes and Ladders

It always takes me a long time to unwrap Granpa’s wrapping jobs. He uses a LOT of tape.

I started going crazy and just pulling stuff out of bags faster than Mommy could write it down.

I made a good mess. I’m pretty good at making messes.

Mommy and Daddy got me slot car track. I’m not sure what that is…

….but it looks really cool!

Haircut

I went and got my first “official” haircut.  I had to look good for my birthday party!  I needed it cut, but Daddy didn’t want it to look just cut, and since he usually butchers it, he decided a professional was in order.  So Daddy took me to his friend Jeff’s saloon salon, and he took Capriana, and he took his camera.

Jeff is trying to get me to “jump” up into the chair. I’m being so cooperative…

Ok, I’m just going to sit here and take it. Nope, I’m not going to talk or say anything.

Well, at least Jeff fired up his Slingbox and I could watch Dora, en Espanol!

Ok, now style it! I need to look good for the ladies.

This is another one of Jeff’s clients. She is a grandma 7 times, so she insisted on holding Capriana.

Easter Weekend

We had a somewhat adventurous Easter weekend.  Mommy and Daddy worked like crazy on the house Sat. morning before we went out to Grandma and Grandpa Jennings’ house in Greenville that afternoon.  I like going out there because Charlie and I can just run around like crazy in their big backyard.  I think I wore her out.  Daddy helped Grandpa empty out his storage cube so they were off working.  On Sunday we went to church and barely got a seat because it was so crowded.  Then we went over to our next door neighbor’s house, kind of.  Our neighboor is having medical issues, so instead of our normal walk next door we drove to her brother’s house and did our Easter egg hunt and lunch there.  Here are the pics:

I got a puzzle with my Easter candy. Here I am with the finished product, but I did it so fast I tried something different….

….and so I did it with the back facing up.

We got a new vacuum the other day. And it’s light enough for me to use! I’m volunteering to vacuum now.

And make sure I get under the bed.

This is the first puzzle I did at home. 24 pieces…..10 minutes! Mommy didn’t know I was good at puzzles until the day before when she saw me do one at day care.

And here’s a 100 piece puzzle. I’m not sure of the time, and Mommy had to help me a little.

We went to our neighbor Emma’s birthday party and I got to hit my first pinata. I hit it 3 times, but Daddy missed the pic every time.

Here we are at the hockey game. “My first one” – Capriana. We brought the Stars good luck as they beat Vancouver in OT and went on to gain points in 19 of the next 20 games and move into first place….

…and here we are with MOMMY!!! If you look back to me playing hockey in the bar, a nice security guy at the arena gave me the puck after the game!
