We went on another extended weekend vacation, this time to Arkansas and Missouri to see my our great grandmother. She is 147 according to our second cousin, or is it 3rd?, we need a flow chart. On our way to Missouri we stopped at a big cat sanctuary in Eureka Springs. They rescue lions, tigers, cougars and other animals that private citizens or small zoos don’t want anymore. Some were so poorly nourished (i.e. eating only dog food) that they now have bone disease. Here are some pics of our stop.

Maybe it’s too early for everyone.

I’m awake! Look what I found, a white tiger!

Daddy wanted to show how big the tiger was compared to me, but it didn’t quite work out like he wanted. Anyway, the tiger’s paw was as big as my chest. I probably looked like an appetizer to him.

White Bengal Tiger (not Siberian Tiger). And BIG!! This tiger was the biggest cat they had. And they had several lions.

Hakuna Matata…(try and get that song out of your head).
This Lion almost peed on me. He got down walked around then backed into the fence. At that point Daddy pulled me to the side quick, just before the lion sprayed.

This bear decided to scratch the back of its leg with his teeth. I guess the mosquitos are more aggravating in this neck of the woods.
We know, not a lot of pictures of us, but there is more to come from the rest of our trip.
